I’m Annett T. Block - founder of Florida Connects and The Digital Adopters. real estate broker, real estate strategist, video marketing architect, and unapologetically East German.
I was born behind walls-in East Germany, where freedom was restricted, conformity was mandatory, and speaking out was dangerous.
In 1989, I watched those walls fall.
I didn’t just walk through, I ran. Straight into a new life. A new business. A new way of doing things.
When I moved to the U.S., I didn’t bring a blueprint, I built one.
My husband and I doubled our first business together. Then I entered real estate during a recession, launched my own brokerage at the height of a housing crisis, and turned bold moves into repeatable systems.
But the biggest breakthrough didn’t come from business. It came from refusing to blend in.
Early in real estate, a coach told me I’d go further if I just “fit in.”
Lose the accent. Be less bold. Play it safe.
I did the opposite.
I kept the accent, turned on the camera, and started owning the narrative.
That’s when everything changed.
I realized: Invisibility kills great agents.
It’s not about being the best agent, t’s about being the most recognized.
